Kambua invited me as a guest to talk about my journey with infertility, aiming to encourage thousands of women facing similar challenges. I discussed the best ways we can support each other on this journey, from employers and healthcare facilities to family and relatives. This crisis significantly shaped my brand, as I had to quit work to carry a high-risk pregnancy. This episode is particularly close to my heart.

Pearl Radio invited me to join a session on women balancing parenting and careers. We talked about the current workplace policies and how they are unfriendly to young parents, especially mothers. Most women are forced to quit work due to fertility issues, high-risk pregnancies, and childcare struggles, among other maternal health factors. I took this opportunity to highlight the numerous opportunities available in remote work and online entrepreneurship today and the benefits it offers to young parents like myself who want to balance raising their toddlers and earning a living, so they don't have to choose between work and family.

People Daily Newspaper

This feature resulted from a post I made discussing the limitations of using employee attendance as the sole metric for performance evaluation. Women who take breaks to attend to family duties are often seen as liabilities. In the People Daily Newspaper, I shed more light on this issue and welcomed voices from friends who have faced similar struggles. Many of them had to quit work due to maternal health challenges or childcare issues.

The Impact of Social Media

All these features stemmed from my active presence on social media and my vocal stance on maternal health challenges and their impact. Remote work has been a blessing for moms in waiting and those with young children. Thanks to social media, I can work from home and raise a happy family. My growth on social media has also highlighted that these issues do not only affect women but also young dads who face their own struggles and are often absent during the crucial early days of parenting. In light of this new understanding, I am now vocal about workplace policies that support both genders. Remote work and online businesses offer a viable solution for parents seeking balance. By sharing my story and advocating for better workplace policies, I aim to empower more parents to thrive both professionally and personally.
